Social media is the new alcohol.
It’s our social fabric and leaves us more isolated than connected.
We don’t believe there is another way to be in community unless we partake in social media.
It’s designed to be highly addictive and costs us our energy, privacy, attention and so much more.
A few individuals are profiting from exploiting and controlling our attention and personal information.
If we quit Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and X, we’d destroy the tools being used to divide, dominate and control.
We’d have to work hard to find new and creative ways to connect with each other.
There would be a time of loss and a time of rebuilding.
But we would be free.
